🌍 What Is Life Like Where We’re Going?

A Story of Calling, Need, and Hope in Spain

You want to make an eternal difference.

You want your life, your prayers, and your giving to matter. By giving your money, you want it to reach real people with real needs and bring light into places that feel spiritually dark.

You’re not alone. That’s our desire too.

We’re preparing to move just outside of Madrid to Segovia, Spain. Segovia is a place filled with beauty, history, and warm people. But under the surface, there’s a deep spiritual emptiness that often goes unnoticed.

The Problem: Spain Is Spiritually Dry

A window into spain

Although Spain was once deeply rooted in Catholic tradition, today, faith is fading fast.

  • Over 40% of Spaniards now say they are atheist, agnostic, or indifferent to religion.
  • Fewer than 18% of those who identify as Catholic actually practice their faith.
  • Among young adults, only 32% even call themselves Catholic at all.

This isn’t just about shifting numbers. It’s about generations growing up with no understanding of the gospel, no church community, and no exposure to the love of Christ.

Many now call Spain a “graveyard for missions.” That may sound hopeless, but we believe God is not finished.

Planting seeds we may not see a harvest in but knowing that God is faithful with those who obey. To set our face like “Flint” in the face of adversity just as Jesus did.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Hebrews 12:1-3

The Guide: We’re Answering God’s Call

We are stepping into this story not because it’s easy, but because the need is real and urgent.

We’ve been called to serve in a spiritually dry region where the ground is hard and few are planting seeds. We’ll be partnering with Iglesia Bethel, a small but faithful local church that is building authentic Christian community and reaching out to people who are hungry for something more.

Our Focus: Reaching the Next Generation

In Spain, most children and teens have never heard the gospel in a meaningful way.

Their lives are shaped by secular culture and social media. Their weekends are filled with sports and activities. Faith is rarely even a topic of conversation.

And yet, they’re asking the same questions as every child and teen around the world:
“Who am I?”
“Where do I belong?”
“Is there more to life?”

We’ll meet them where they are. When they are on the soccer field, coffee shops, grocery stores, at youth events, in summer camps—and walk alongside them as they encounter the truth of Jesus, often for the very first time.

The Plan: You Can Be Part of the Mission

We can’t do this alone. And the truth is, we were never meant to.

Here’s how you can be part of this story:

✅ Give Financially
Your gift, whether monthly or one-time, makes it possible for us to live and minister full-time in Spain. It helps fund camps, discipleship resources, outreach, and basic living expenses so we can focus fully on the mission.

✅ Pray Intentionally
Join our prayer team to receive regular updates and specific ways to intercede for our family, our ministry, and the people we’re reaching in Spain.

✅ Share the Vision
Help us spread the word by sharing our story with your church, your small group, or anyone who cares about seeing the gospel reach Europe again.

The Success: A New Legacy of Faith

When you join us, through giving, praying, or sharing; you are not just supporting missionaries. You are planting seeds of faith that can grow for generations.

Because of your partnership:

  • A teenager may hear the gospel for the first time at a camp.
  • A lonely young person may discover purpose and belonging in Christ.
  • A small church community may be strengthened and encouraged to keep going.
  • A spiritually dry land may begin to bloom again with new life in Christ.

The Risk of Doing Nothing

Without intentional investment, an entire generation may grow up without ever hearing about Jesus. But that doesn’t have to be the story.

You can help write a different one.

Will You Join Us?

We’re trusting God for what’s ahead. But we need a team around us, faithful friends and family who will say,
“I want to be part of this.”
