Spain was once deeply Christian, but today:

Over 40% of Spaniards say they don’t believe in God
Less than 3% actively follow Jesus
Most children and teens grow up never hearing the gospel

It’s a challenging spiritual climate. But we serve a God who still moves powerfully, and we believe He’s inviting us and you to bring light where it’s needed most.

On our recent vision trip to Spain, we learned that there are so few Christians that know Jesus personally. Older people are Catholic in name. This is due to the dictator of just 50 years ago where being anything but Catholic was illegal. Younger people don’t believe in God or believe Christians are hypocrites and want nothing to do with them. With so few Evangelical churches, I have never been convinced more that the work is plentiful and the harvesters few.

We also learned that people have been praying for revival to come to Spain for years. With us not being the only ones hearing the call to Spain, is this the time that God will answer? I have learned that God allows us to partner with Him. He does not need us because His purpose prevails but I do not want to miss out on the beauty that God has in joining him on Mission.

We are currently 55% funded for our monthly goal of $5,500. We have until the end of January to be fully funded and apply for our visas in Houston.

Our Mission: Planting Seeds for a Lifetime

We’re living and serving just outside Segovia, Spain. The first year to two years we will be learning the language and the culture. We will focus on making contacts and developing relationships during this time. In the long-term, we will partner with Betel to invest in:

Discipling kids and teens through sports, camps, and mentorship
Partnering with Mision de Betel, a local ministry that offers Teachings, Camps, Marriage Ministry and more
Building gospel-centered community through everyday relationships

This is not a quick trip. We’re here for the long haul, and every dollar and prayer brings us closer to transforming a generation.

1. What is Flint Outreach Ministries’ mission and where will you be serving?

Our mission is simply to be obedient to where and what God calls us to. When we moved to Sherman in 2022, we felt God calling us to start a house church. Since then, we have seen God work in and through us through the house church and in the community through coaching 2 different soccer teams for the duration of our time here.

When God called us to go last year, we followed as he lead us to go to Tijuana as a family to partner for 5 days with a children’s home through community work and street ministry.

Now, as God calls us to transition from the business world to the mission field, our mission is the same: listen to God, and follow as he leads us. Day by Day and step by step. We know that God uses all things to work powerfully in other people’s lives. We see breadcrumbs of our past being put to use in ways we never would’ve imagined.

If you feel God leading you to do something, we hope that if nothing else, our obedience will inspire you to follow after God with an all out abandon because when you walk with God, you can never go wrong and the world is changed.

3. Who is behind Flint Outreach Ministries?

God is the one who is behind Flint Outreach Ministries. You may see our picture and read our bios, but without God we wouldn’t be here.

The name “Flint” Outreach Ministry comes from two sources:
– A very hard, fine-grained quartz that sparks when struck with steel.
– A piece of flint used to produce a spark

Our prayer is that God will use us and this ministry to spark something not only in the people we are ministering to directly, but all who hear. May your ears and heart burn with a desire to live for God.

Secondly, it comes from Isaiah 50:4-11, “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue,
    to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
    wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
⁵The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears;
    I have not been rebellious,
    I have not turned away.
⁶I offered my back to those who beat me,
    my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;
I did not hide my face
    from mocking and spitting.
⁷Because the Sovereign Lord helps me,
    I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint,
    and I know I will not be put to shame.

Obedience to God is not always easy, but it is always worth it.

2. How will my donation be used?

It is our desire to be financially responsible with everything we steward because we know that the money donated is not ours but the Lord’s, and without Him we could do nothing.

Your donations will go toward one time moving and traveling expenses, as well as living expenses. We will also be using donations to impact the communities we are involved in whether that be purchasing activities and crafts for children or sports equipment to begin the sports ministry.

4. How can I partner with or support your ministry?

There are so many meaningful ways to join us on this journey: financial support is just one part of what it means to be a missionary family.
We deeply need prayer warriors. Friends who will stand in the gap, covering us in prayer as we step into the unknown. Your prayers are our lifeline, sustaining us when the road is hard and the way forward feels uncertain.

We also long for encouragers. Those who will send words of hope, Scriptures, and reminders of God’s faithfulness. Your letters and messages will be a source of strength, helping us press on in obedience when challenges arise.
