God is writing a bigger story—and you’re a part of it.
Following God rarely feels like a straight line. If your journey with God has ever felt uncertain, winding, or full of unexpected detours—you’re not alone. That’s exactly how we would describe this season of our lives. What we thought was a clear direction toward Spain shifted, paused, and redirected more than once. Romania was briefly on the table. Then, just as we were preparing for that, the door opened again in Spain. We’re continuing to walk one step at a time, trusting the Lord’s timing.
There’s a strange beauty in the in-between. There is the waiting, the not-knowing, the letting go. We’ve learned that obedience isn’t about certainty. It’s about surrender.
And if you’re in a season like that right now, please hear this: you might be exactly where God wants you.
What’s Been Happening
- ✅ Declan’s passport arrived! A big step in the visa process
- 🏡 Our home is officially listed—we’ve decluttered, staged, and simplified our lives to prepare
- 🗂 We’ve gathered documents to begin background checks and apostille processes for documents
- 📞 We’ve had encouraging calls with Isabelle and the team in Spain—we’re moving forward!
- ✉️ We’re applying as volunteers with BCM, who will help us with documentation required for visas
In the background, God has been so faithful. The very day we were discouraged by finances, two gifts came in. This and more continue to remind us that He sees, He knows, and He provides.
The Mission
We are preparing to serve long-term just outside Segovia, Spain, partnering with Iglesia Bethel and building ministry among youth and families who have never heard the gospel in a personal way. We hope to be:
- Discipling kids and teens through sports, mentoring, and events
- Supporting the local church’s outreach and leadership
- Building Christ-centered relationships in everyday life
We are stepping into one of the most spiritually dry areas in Europe—and we believe that’s exactly where the light of Jesus needs to shine. Check out my last blog post to learn more about the spiritual climate of Spain.
Where We Are Financially
We’re currently raising $70,000 to fully fund our next year of ministry:
One-Time Launch Costs — $16,000
- Flights, visas, vehicle, and legal documentation
- Furnishings and basic setup for our new home
Ongoing Monthly Needs — $4,000/month
- Rent, food, utilities
- Ministry outreach and education for our boys
- Transportation and insurance
We’ll soon need to present a letter of monthly support confirmation as part of our visa approval. That’s why we’re reaching out now. Be sure to check out our give page for more information on investing in the Kingdom of God in Spain.
An Invitation to Be Part of Something Eternal
Rather than asking something from you, we’re extending an invitation. Please walk alongside us in a mission that has eternal impact. When you partner with God in this story, you’re helping plant seeds that will grow for generations to come.
“Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” — Luke 6:38
We’ve seen it firsthand: every act of generosity opens space for God to move. He multiplies it. He blesses it. And He works through it in ways we’ll only understand in eternity.
Would you prayerfully consider joining our support team—whether through giving, praying, or sharing?

What We’re Learning
God often moves fast once He says “go.” That’s why we’re preparing now: selling furniture, downsizing, releasing fall commitments. Every step forward is both practical and spiritual.
We’ve had hard days. We’ve cried alongside our kids. We’ve wrestled with giving up what we love. But each sacrifice reminds us of the greater call.
We were deeply moved recently when Gabe said he wants to be a missionary when he grows up, unprompted. Moments like these are God’s whisper: “Keep going.”
How You Can Pray
- Visa documents being gathered, prepared, and processed swiftly
- Our house and cars to sell at the right time (We currently only have the civic listed for sale.)
- That our marriage would grow stronger under pressure
- Emotional peace and strength for our boys
- Spanish language learning for the whole family and homeschooling grace
- Our house church’s outreach event this Saturday (June 26) be praying for God to move and for us to make an impact
- Continued growth of Living Stones Study (now with 12 weeks of content!)
And if you ever need prayer yourself, shoot Kyle or l an email and we will join you before the mercy seat. We would be honored to lift you up.
Thank You
To those who have prayed, given, shared, and encouraged us—we see you, and we thank God for you. You’re not just supporting a mission. You’re part of it. You’re helping reach families with the gospel and shaping the next generation of believers.
Let’s keep walking this road together—step by surrendered step.
With love and gratitude,
Kyle, B, and the boys 💛
