Building Relationships and Sharing the Love of Christ in Spain

September continued to be full of new beginnings, opportunities to serve, and small steps toward building relationships here in Spain. As we settle into life in a new country, we are continually reminded that ministry often begins with something simple: showing up, spending time with people, and making space for conversations about the Lord.
Here are a few highlights of what we’ve been working on!
Reaching Our Community
Kyle has been out doing outreach a few times this month, spending time speaking and praying with people and inviting them to connect with the church plant. Each conversation is an opportunity to meet someone new, hear their story, and share the hope we have in Christ.
We’ve also begun basketball and soccer activities as a way to build relationships with children and their families. Our hope is that, through playing together and spending time with these families, we can build trust, develop friendships, and create opportunities to share the love of Jesus.
Another exciting opportunity has been Art in the Park, which we’ve held three times in September! These gatherings give children and families a chance to spend time with us in a relaxed, creative environment. We talked with the children and parents as they painted. Children will come and paint, go play, then come back again. Additionally, when they see me on other days they say hello, chat a little bit, and ask about art again. Art has been a wonderful way to bring people together, begin conversations, and invite families to get to know us. We look forward to seeing how these relationships continue to grow.

Growing in Prayer for the Nations
Prayer continues to be an important part of our ministry. We participated in a small way as a family during the 10 Days of Prayer. As well as continued our weekly Wednesday night prayer calls.
In September, I was able to help design a children’s prayer guide focused on an unreached Hindu people group, helping children learn about people who have little access to the gospel and how they can pray for them.
I’m also working on an upcoming prayer guide focused on Buddhist peoples. My hope is to help children understand God’s heart for the nations and encourage them to pray with faith for people to know and follow Jesus. It’s been a blessing for me to be able to be apart of this work. It is a joy to create resources that help families and children participate in the Great Commission, even from their own homes.
Growing Together as a Church
We’re encouraged to see the church plant growing. Building a church community takes time, prayer, and faithful investment in people, and we’re grateful for each step forward, as we walk and help where we can.
Creating Resources to Help Families Grow in God’s Word
Alongside our local ministry, I’ve started working on translating Living Stones Study into Spanish. My desire is to make these Bible studies accessible to Spanish-speaking families, giving parents and children practical, engaging ways to grow in their understanding of Scripture together.
I’ve also been developing The Wednesday Collection, which delivers something beautiful to look forward to every Wednesday. Each week, subscribers receive a thoughtful collection of devotionals, Bible studies, and original artwork designed to encourage them in their faith and help them spend meaningful time in God’s Word.
Whether through children’s Bible studies, prayer guides, or devotional art, I love finding creative ways to help people engage with Scripture and carry its truth into their everyday lives.
Learning Spanish and Growing in a New Place

One of our ongoing priorities is learning Spanish. We’ve been having Spanish classes and continuing to practice as we navigate everyday life here.
Learning a language is a humbling process! It takes patience to communicate in a new language, understand cultural differences, and build friendships across those barriers. But every conversation is another opportunity to learn, connect, and grow.
We’re learning that settling into a new place involves much more than finding our way around a new city. It means learning how people communicate, discovering the rhythms of daily life, and building relationships one step at a time.
Thank You for Praying With Us
As we look back on these past few months, we’re grateful for the opportunities God has given us to serve, create, pray, and build relationships in Spain.
From conversations on the street to basketball games, art in the park, children’s prayer guides, and the growth of the house church, each of these efforts is part of our desire to see people encounter Jesus and become rooted in His Word.
Please continue praying with us for the relationships we’re building with children and families, for opportunities to share the gospel, for the growth of the church plant, and for wisdom as we continue learning Spanish and adjusting to life here.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for partnering with us in prayer. We’re excited to see how God will continue to work in the months ahead!
